So often this verse is misquoted! God actually DOES give you more than you can handle.... That's kind of the point; you can't do it alone. Just like God was faithful to David; He will be faithful to you. He never fails to make good on any of the promises He has given. Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. When we face fear, despair, sorrow, pain or loss we sometimes feel like the last thing we should do is to stop and spend time reading from God's word. But, this is the wonder of God's word! When we are in a time of affliction it is the only book with promises, standards and a true view of who God is. It is a place where we can find hope, help and healing. It is used, by God, to mold us into the image of Jesus. Allow God the opportunity to give the peace that passeth all understanding. His Love, His Power, His peace is real.... Get into His word.

What do we fear? We shudder at the thought of hearing our boss say, ‘You’re through,’ or of our girlfriend saying, ‘Goodbye.’ But if someone were to say, ‘You’re going to lose fellowship with the Father for a day,’ we wouldn’t care. Why is it that we are nonchalant about that which terrified Jesus — and we are fearful about that which He said ‘Let not your hearts be troubled’?

John 11:35 Jesus wept. Known by many, possibly most, as simply the shortest verse in the Bible. But, have you ever considered why He wept? He had been called to heal Lazarus but, in the eyes of his family & friends He didn't come quick enough. They didn't even consider that Jesus had power over death. I believe Jesus wept, in part, due to their unbelief. Don't we often do the same thing? We pray, not preparing for or accepting the answer He gives. When He doesn't answer quick enough we think He doesn't hear, doesn't care, or He is just not answering. We truly must remember; sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes it is no, and other times it is wait. Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and shall walk, and not faint. Wait on the Lord. Run the race, that God has for you, to win! Walk the path that God has put you on with the endurance that He has given to you.

😂 HOW TRUE IT IS

It was a bit chilly today BUT, the sign is up and running.

It won’t be long now before the new sign is up and running (weather permitting) The new sign base is set 🎉

With the new year comes another time for possible change. The year could bring a new house, a new car, a new job, new friends or even new family. But, thru it all there is one constant..... His name is Jesus. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

From the manger to the cross.... This is why He came. Foretold by the prophets and fulfilled by the savior!
